The Opportunity

We’re looking for a hands on Event Operator to join our Operations team and take the lead on delivering and installing assets and equipment onsite. From activations to roadshows and exhibitions, you’ll play a key role in making it all happen, working with scenic assets and basic AV kit to a consistently high standard. You’ll be responsible for preparing assets and equipment in the warehouse, safely loading and unloading vehicles, and ensuring smooth, professional setup onsite. You’ll need to be practical, proactive and positive, with a can do attitude, strong communication skills, and a sharp eye for safety and detail.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver, install, and de-rig brand assets for events including exhibitions, activations, and roadshows

  • Operate and troubleshoot basic AV kit screens and lighting

  • Ensure all work adheres to health and safety policies, RAMS, and site protocols

  • Liaise onsite with clients, venues, and third-party suppliers

  • Lead or support freelance crew and local teams

  • Prep, load, unload, and return equipment, working closely with the warehouse team

  • Drive vans (up to 3.5T), including occasional overnight stays and weekend work

  • Track and maintain assets using internal stock management systems

  • Assist the fabrication team with maintenance & repairs of assets when required

  • Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold ISO9001 compliance

Job requirements

Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

  • Full clean UK driving licence

  • Able to use hand tools and mechanical handling equipment safely

  • Great communication skills and confident client interaction

  • Awareness of site H&S and ability to follow RAMS and protocols

  • Basic IT skills (email, spreadsheets, asset tracking systems)

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early starts, late finishes, weekends and overnight stays

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues with kit and setups under pressure onsite

 

Desirable:

  • Experience in live events or warehouse environments

  • Experience working with AV or scenic equipment

  • Forklift licence (counterbalance or reach truck)

  • First Aid or H&S qualifications (IOSH/NEBOSH)

Working Hours

The role is based on a 37.5 - 40 hour workweek. However, due to the nature of event installation and operation, flexibility is essential. Shifts may include early starts, late finishes, and a mix of weekdays and weekends.
