We are seeking an experienced, inspiring, and commercially astute leader to oversee, manage, and develop our services and team at The Eastside Rooms (ESR) in Birmingham City. This is a unique opportunity for an exceptional individual with extensive industry knowledge and outstanding team management skills to make a significant impact within our venue partnership.
About the Role
In this leadership role, you will take full responsibility for the management and development of On Event Production Co.'s services at ESR. You will work closely with the venue's sales and operations teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and exceptional client care while overseeing the end-to-end technical design and delivery of events.
Your role will involve leading and inspiring the technical team, providing innovative solutions, and building long-term relationships with clients. You will also focus on the operational and commercial success of our partnership, ensuring efficient use of resources and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, manage, and develop the On Event Production Co. team based at The Eastside Rooms.• Build and nurture long-term client relationships through exceptional service.
• Oversee technical solutions for live, virtual, and hybrid events.
• Collaborate with ESR sales staff on client show rounds and sales efforts.
• Provide detailed quotations, CAD drawings, and technical specifications.
• Manage all rigging and AV production in the venue’s conference suite.
• Ensure the maintenance and readiness of On Event Production Co.'s equipment at ESR.
• Manage Health & Safety for On Event Production Co. at ESR.
• Drive the ongoing development and improvement of services and team capabilities.

• A strong track record in building client relationships and delivering commercial results.
• Deep knowledge of live event systems, hybrid event solutions, and venue operations.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in producing accurate costings, quotations, and CAD drawings.
• A hands-on approach to management and the ability to inspire a team.
• A solid understanding of Health & Safety regulations and best practices.
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and diplomacy skills.
• Evidence of implementing successful developments in previous roles.
• A valid driving license and the ability to commute to Birmingham.
Working Hours
The role is based on a 40-hour work week, covering core office hours Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of event production support, flexibility is essential with potential early starts, late finishes, and support on some weekends.
